BLIM aka Gervase E. Cooke is a classically trained musician and was at the forefront of the early Nu Skool Breaks scene back in the early 2000’s with his unique style that fitted well with music from that day. He had quite a few releases on Rennie Pilgrem’s label TCR along with other artists such as Chris Carter, General Midi, Elite Force and JDS to name a few. This mix was recorded LIVE in the studios of Tilos Radio in Budapest, Hungary back in 2003.

2001 was a good year for the Breaks scene, the beginnings of the highly followed Nu Skool breaks era and the emerging of familiar artists such as Rennie Pilgrem and BLIM. This set was recoreded LIVE at Groovetech Radio back in January of 2001 and showcases a lot of tunes from TCR (Thursday Club Recordings) part of which Rennie Pilgrem was the label boss and BLIM (a classically trained musician) one of it’s top artists at the time. Hope you enjoy this glimpse back into the past !
