Aquasky vs Masterblaster were a UK trio who in the beginning were prominently Drum & Bass producers. Dave Wallace, Brent Newitt and Keiron Bailey made the decision to drop their BPM down a touch upon meeting with nu-skool breaks pioneer Adam Freeland.
The trio formed in 1995 and over the following years produced 6 albums, various singles and remixes. They also started their own label Passenger Records a home for their very distinct sound of Tear Out Breakbeat. In later years the trio split and the artist name was changed to just Aquasky.
This mix is from 2003 and was recorded Live at a Spanish Festival that translates to English as Colombian Session. It really highlights the sound they were known for at the time in the very popular Nu Skool Breaks genre.
