Adam Freeland – Breezeblock Mix – 1.4.1999

 

 

Considered one of the pioneers of the Nu Skool Breaks sound and an innovative person in trying out new sounds Adam Freeland had many a hit back in the day specially on his own label Marine Parade with which he promoted other top Breaks acts in the early 2000’s. This mix was aired on the BBC Radio’s weekly progamme called The Breezeblock or Breezeblock as it was known. The Breezeblock first premiered back in 1997 and focused mainly on electronic music, the show was hosted by Mary Anne Hobbs and eventually got renamed to Mary Anne Hobbs: BBC Radio 1’s Experimental Show in 2006.

This mix really showcases the original sound of the Nu Skool Breaks era, 22 years ago ! Damn.
